I’d simple describe myself as a native African software engineer. Once bored by policies in my country and the lack on knowledge and adoption in my country of opensource alternatives. I decided to take it upon myself to spread the Opensource World.
I have and still continue to contribute on a couple of projects – KDE, Ubuntu, and laterly PC-BSD. My greatest opensource adventure started a while back with Ushahidi – an opensource crowdsourcing tool, that has really rocked the world and changed the perception many had about technology emerging from Africa. Africa can, and yes we can.
I simply love the opensource way of life.
